The deciding factors
Coway is what Philips would be if it only made air purifiers. The filtration is the best here in absolute terms, the H13 media is properly sealed, and the unit runs at 22 dB on low — quiet enough that you genuinely forget it is on, which is the single most important spec for a bedroom purifier.
Against that, Levoit Core 300S makes its case differently: The reason to buy a Levoit is that you will actually leave it running. An air purifier that is too loud to sleep next to gets switched off at bedtime, which is precisely when you spend eight uninterrupted hours breathing one room's air. At 24 dB this one disappears.
Our practical advice: unless the Coway Sleek Pro AP-1019C's specific advantages match a real constraint you have — tank size for long water cuts, a higher TDS rating for brackish supply, hot water you will genuinely use — the cheaper unit is the better purchase. In this category, paying for capability you will never use is the most common way money gets wasted.
