Updates and processors

Android Auto setup
- Connect the phone to the car with a good USB cable, or pair wirelessly if the car supports it.
- Follow the prompts on the phone and car screen, and allow the requested permissions.
- If it will not connect, try a different cable, update the Android Auto app and check the car's settings.
Transferring data and clearing cache
- During setup of the new phone, choose to copy apps and data from your old phone using a cable or Wi-Fi.
- Most brands also offer their own transfer app for moving from another brand.
- To clear an app's cache, open Settings > Apps > [app] > Storage > Clear cache; this does not delete your data.
Custom ROMs: what to know first
- Installing one needs an unlocked bootloader, which usually wipes the phone and may void warranty.
- Banking and payment apps may stop working on modified phones.
- Only use well-maintained ROMs built for your exact model.
