Is a cheap air cooler worth buying?
It is, if the room is dry and you size it correctly. What you give up at the bottom of this category is published specifications, pump warranty and build, not the underlying evaporative principle. What you should not give up is honeycomb media — wood wool is the false economy here.
Will it replace an air conditioner?
