About this ceiling fan

  • BLDC motor, so it runs on a fraction of the power an induction fan of the same sweep needs
  • Service value of 6.1 CMM per watt — well above the 4.0 or so a typical induction fan manages
  • 250 CMM air delivery, enough for a large room or a hall
  • Keeps running on an inverter for far longer than an induction fan would

Our verdict

The Bajaj Arioso 12DC5R 1200mm is Bajaj's BLDC ceiling fan at ₹11,900 in a 1200 mm sweep. Bajaj publishes 250 CMM of air delivery at 41 W, which is a service value of 6.1 CMM per watt.

Run twelve hours a day for a seven-month summer, that works out to about ₹827 a year at ₹8 a unit. A 30 W BLDC in the same room would cost about ₹605, so the cheaper sticker here is not the cheaper fan.

Every figure here is Bajaj's own published specification, read from www.bajajelectricals.com on 17 September 2026. We have not run this fan; the score is calculated from those specs by the method printed on the ceiling-fan hub.

About Bajaj

One of the oldest electrical brands in India and the most affordable route into a BLDC ceiling fan among the brands verified here — the Raftaar 1200 mm BLDC sells at ₹1,999, which is the cheapest BLDC fan in this catalogue by a wide margin. Bajaj's 46 verified models run from that entry point up to ₹8,860 decorative fans. Product pages lead with feature bullets rather than a specification table, so air delivery and RPM are often present but wattage frequently is not.
