Catalogue listing — not a hands-on review
We have not tested this unit. The specifications below are parsed from the manufacturer's own listing, the features are their wording, and the score is calculated from those specifications rather than assigned by an editor. For models we have examined in depth, see our ranked air purifiers guides.
About this model
The Eureka Forbes Air Purifier 230 is an air purifier selling for ₹7,999 on Amazon.in (MRP ₹10,400, so 23% off on the day we checked). That is well under the ₹14,890 typical for a air purifier in this catalogue.
There is no CADR on the listing, only a rated room size of 310 sq ft. Without CADR there is no reliable way to compare its output, so treat the room-size claim with caution.
Where these figures come from: the Amazon.in listing for this purifier (ASIN B0FN4GDGHL), read on 12 October 2026. We have not tested it ourselves, and Amazon prices move daily, so check the live price before you buy.
Manufacturer's stated features
- Rated for rooms up to 310 sq ft
- H13 HEPA filter, the grade that captures 99.95%+ of particles at the most penetrating size
- Activated-carbon layer for cooking smells and some gases
Worth noting
- CADR is not on the listing, which makes a fair comparison with other purifiers hard
- Has an ioniser; ionisers can produce small amounts of ozone, so check whether it can be switched off
- Filters are a running cost — budget for a replacement set every 6–12 months in Indian winters
When this is not a good choice
Every condition below is derived from this product's published specifications and from how it compares with the air purifiers we track — so you can check each one against your own room, supply or budget rather than take our word for it.
Your room is bigger than about 155 sq ft
It is rated for 310 sq ft, but that assumes roughly one air change an hour. For visible results in Indian winter conditions, halve it — which puts the realistic ceiling near 155 sq ft.
Work out the CADR you need →You are trying to remove smells, smoke or gases
No meaningful activated-carbon stage is fitted. HEPA captures particulate and does nothing whatsoever for gases and odours — this is the most common mismatch in the category.
Purifiers with real carbon filtration →You want to verify it is working rather than trust it
There is no numeric PM2.5 readout. A colour ring cannot tell you the room went from 180 to 22 µg/m³, and it cannot tell you the filter is exhausted.
