Our verdict
Godrej's argument in frost free is the same as in single door — capacity and serviceability rather than refinement — and at 331 L for ₹33,000 the capacity argument is emphatic. 248 L of usable fresh-food space is more than the 301 L Samsung offers for ₹2,500 more, and it is genuinely enough for a joint family that cooks daily.
Where it gives ground is finish. Open it next to a Samsung and the shelf edges, the bin mouldings and the door seal all read as a grade cheaper. None of that affects how well it keeps food, and the cooling itself is even and reliable, but it is what you are trading for the price and the litres.
Buy it for a large household on a budget, especially outside a metro where Godrej's service reach is decisive. Buy the Samsung 301 L instead if finish and Twin Cooling matter more to you than 22 extra usable litres.
