In an Indian office or factory, purification and chilling are one requirement, not two — and integrating them properly matters, because a purifier feeding an undersized cooler produces lukewarm water that nobody drinks.
Size the cooling, not just the purification. Cooling capacity is specified in litres per hour of chilled output, and the summer requirement in a factory floor environment is dramatically higher than in an air-conditioned office. A 20 LPH chilling capacity that is comfortable in a Bengaluru office will be badly short on a Nagpur shop floor in May.

Integrated or separate RO?
Below roughly 40 people, an integrated cooler-cum-purifier is simpler and cheaper. Above that, a separate commercial RO plant feeding one or more coolers is usually better: you can size purification and chilling independently, service them separately, and add dispensing points without replacing the treatment.
For a factory with multiple shop-floor locations, one central RO plant feeding several coolers is almost always the correct architecture.
Installation, commissioning and service response
Commercial buyers are buying uptime, so the commercial terms matter as much as the equipment specification. Insist on these being written into the purchase order rather than discussed verbally.
- Site survey and feed-water analysis before the final quotation — never accept a specification produced without a water report.
- Defined commissioning scope: civil and electrical prerequisites, who supplies what, and a documented performance test at handover.
- Written service response times, with escalation, and clarity on whether spares are held locally.
- Operator training and a laminated SOP left on site, so routine flushing and cartridge changes do not depend on one person.
- Warranty terms stated separately for membranes, pumps, vessels and instrumentation, because they differ.
