Our verdict
This is the better-engineered triple door of the two. Haier inverts Whirlpool's layout — fresh food on top, convertible drawer in the middle, freezer at the bottom — which puts the most-used compartment at the best height and the least-used at the worst, exactly the right way round.
The middle drawer is the reason to buy it. Set to soft-freeze at around −2 °C, meat and fish stay firm enough to slice but never freeze solid, so there is no thawing step before cooking. Anyone who cooks non-vegetarian food several times a week will use this daily, and it is the kind of feature that quietly changes a routine.
It is a large appliance at 1900 mm and it draws 251 units a year, so it is neither compact nor cheap to run. Buy it if you have the space, cook meat or fish regularly, and have Haier service nearby. If you are vegetarian, the Whirlpool triple door's dedicated crisper is the more relevant layout for ₹9,500 less.

That format decision is Haier's real contribution: the fresh-food compartment sits at eye level where you use it thirty times a day, and the freezer — which you open twice a week — is at the bottom.
