This is the most misunderstood product category in India, so here is the rule: a gravity UF purifier removes microbes, not minerals. If your supply is treated municipal water below roughly 200 ppm and your worry is bacteria after a monsoon pipeline breach, the Gold Optima is genuinely all you need, and you will have spent ₹2,790 instead of ₹18,000.
If your supply is a borewell, a tanker, or anything brackish, this product cannot help you and no amount of stage-count marketing changes that. TDS reduction requires a membrane under pressure. Buy an RO instead.

Does a gravity water purifier remove TDS?
No. Gravity purifiers use ultrafiltration or activated carbon, which trap bacteria, cysts and sediment but pass dissolved salts straight through. If your TDS is above about 300 ppm you need reverse osmosis. Check your TDS with a ₹300 meter before buying any purifier.
