Under ₹30,000 at brand-store prices, the market narrows sharply. Every AC on this page is from Blue Star, because in September 2026 Blue Star's own store was the only major-brand store we checked with in-stock ACs at this price — and they are mostly window units or small, fixed-speed splits. Marketplace sale prices can bring other brands' 1 ton units under ₹30,000 for a few days at a time.
What this budget buys well is a window AC for a room you rent or use occasionally, or a 0.8 ton inverter split for a small room. What it does not buy is a 1.5 ton inverter split — the cheapest we found was ₹37,690 — so if the room is 150 sq ft or more and you will run the AC for long nights, stretching to ₹33,000-₹39,000 buys a machine that is far cheaper to run.
For the searches this page gets under ₹25,000 and below: two new ACs were under ₹25,000 at verified prices, both 3-star Blue Star window units at ₹23,590 and ₹24,890. Nothing credible from a major brand exists under ₹20,000 — our AC price guide explains what those budgets can buy instead.
