About this model
The Haier 12 kg 5 Star Front Load Washer Dryer (HWD120-DM14F17BKU1) is a 12 kg front load washer-dryer at ₹74,990 (MRP ₹1,03,000), price checked 2026-09-30.
A large or joint family is the household this capacity suits. Front loaders wash most gently and use the least water, but run long cycles.
This is a catalogue listing, not a hands-on review: every figure comes from Haier's published information (shop.haierindia.com (Haier India e-store) category + product page), and the score is calculated from those specifications. Compare the Amazon and Flipkart prices before you buy — sale prices are often lower.

When this is not a good choice
Every condition below is derived from this product's published specifications and from how it compares with the washing machines we track — so you can check each one against your own room, supply or budget rather than take our word for it.
You live outside a metro or a major service town
Haier's service network is rated good rather than excellent. Spare parts and callout times decide how a washing machine holds up over the years, so check service for your pin code before you buy.

About Haier
The world's largest refrigerator manufacturer by volume, and in India the brand that made bottom-mounted freezers mainstream. That format decision is Haier's real contribution: the fresh-food compartment sits at eye level where you use it thirty times a day, and the freezer — which you open twice a week — is at the bottom. Once you have lived with it, a top freezer feels like a design mistake. Pricing is aggressive and the specification per rupee is usually the best in class.
