Kelvinator is a revived brand rather than a continuous one, and the fridges are built by Epack Durable to a keen price. What you are buying at ₹13,000 is a competent basic refrigerator with a 10-year compressor warranty, and at that price nothing else offers the combination.
The compromises are where you would expect them. The plastics feel thin, the door bins flex, and there is no inverter compressor so it cycles audibly and draws 174 units a year. Cooling itself is fine — this is well-understood technology and the fresh-food compartment does its job.
Buy it as a second fridge, an office fridge, a rental-property fridge, or when ₹13,000 is genuinely the ceiling. For a primary family refrigerator that has to last twelve years, spend the extra ₹2,000 on the Whirlpool or Godrej and get the better service network with it.
