Our verdict
Voltas Beko's proposition is litres. At about ₹15,500 you get 200 L gross and roughly 178 L usable, which is 13 L more usable space than the LG at a lower price. In a segment where buying too small is the standard mistake, that is the most useful thing a budget single door can offer.
The engineering underneath is Beko's, which is a genuinely competent European appliance maker, and it shows in temperature evenness — the bottom shelf and the top shelf are within a degree of each other, which is not true of every unit at this price. What you do not get is an inverter compressor or a competitive energy number.
Buy it when you need the maximum usable space under ₹16,000 and you are willing to pay about ₹480 a year more in electricity than a 5-star inverter to get it. If space is not the binding constraint, the LG is the better long-term purchase.

The Tata association buys service credibility that a new brand could not otherwise have, and Arçelik supplies real European appliance engineering underneath.
