Looks good, charges fast, does the job
Bought it for college. Battery genuinely lasts over a month between charges. Type-C is the main reason I picked it. Only had it eight months so cannot speak to how the blades hold up.
Brand: boAt
Type-C, IPX7 and an LED display for under ₹1,200
Our editorial score
Good — right for the specific buyer
Students and young professionals who want modern conveniences and a warranty that works.
boAt has done to trimmers what it did to earphones: taken the specifications young Indian buyers actually check, priced them aggressively, and backed them with a replacement process that works. Type-C charging, IPX7 washability, 120 minutes of runtime and an LED display for ₹1,149 is a strong package, and the finish is noticeably better than the generic budget shelf.
The open question is durability, and it is genuinely open. The range is too new for anyone to say honestly what these blades cut like in year four, and titanium coating is not the same thing as Philips' self-sharpening DuraPower steel. Spares availability is also immature — you can replace the whole unit under warranty far more easily than you can buy a comb.
As a first trimmer for a student, that is an acceptable risk profile and the convenience features are worth having. If you want the machine you will still be using in 2032, the Philips BT3211 remains the safer answer, and if you want the best specification at this price the Mi 2C edges it on blade quality. boAt wins on warranty confidence and on looking good doing it.
Every condition below is derived from this product's published specifications and from how it compares with the trimmers and shavers we track — so you can check each one against your own room, supply or budget rather than take our word for it.
You live outside a metro or a major service town
boAt's service network is rated good rather than excellent. Filter availability and callout times are what decide whether a purifier is still running in five years, and they are worth checking for your pin code before you buy.
How we score service reach →Length of cover matters to you

Specifications are from manufacturer literature and were checked at the last price-verification date. Brands occasionally revise stage counts, tank sizes and warranty terms without changing the model name — confirm against the current listing before purchasing.
The audio brand's move into grooming, and a more serious one than the crossover suggests. boAt's trimmers carry the specifications its young buyers actually check — Type-C fast charging, 90 to 120 minute runtimes, IPX-rated washable bodies, LED displays — at aggressive prices, backed by a warranty and replacement process that already works at national scale. Blade metallurgy and long-term durability are the open question, since the range is too new for a five-year verdict. As a first trimmer for a student or a young professional it is a sound, well-supported buy.
Themes we see consistently in owner feedback for this model. These are illustrative of reported experience rather than a statistical sample — read the current marketplace reviews too, and weight recent ones most heavily.
