Type-C alone was worth it

On paper this beats the Philips BT3211 outright — Type-C instead of a proprietary adapter, IPX7 instead of a splash-resistant head, 90 minutes instead of 60, 20 mm maximum instead of 10, and ₹400 cheaper. For a buyer choosing on specification, it is not close, and the specification is not exaggerated: the runtime and the waterproofing are real.
The gap is in the things that do not appear on a spec sheet. Philips gives you two years of warranty against one, a repair network rather than a replacement process, self-sharpening DuraPower blades rated for four years, and spare combs you can buy in a shop rather than order online. Over a five-year horizon, that is what separates a trimmer still in use from one in a drawer.
So the recommendation splits cleanly. If you want the most capable machine for ₹1,300 today and will replace it in three years, buy the Mi. If you want the machine most likely to still be cutting well in 2031 with no consumables, buy the Philips BT3211 and accept the older charging port. Both are defensible; neither is a mistake.

Great value, combs feel cheap
The trimmer itself is excellent and very quiet. The plastic combs bend a little if you press. Not a dealbreaker for the price but the Philips ones are more solid.
