Bought this instead of a Manscaped
Almost paid ₹11,000 for an imported Lawn Mower. Got this for ₹1,499 and honestly cannot tell what I am missing. No nicks in eight months of use. Shower-safe is the key feature.

The sensible Indian answer to below-the-belt grooming
Our editorial score
Very good — recommended
Body and intimate grooming done safely and cheaply, and the honest Indian alternative to Manscaped.
The single most common mistake in body grooming is using a face trimmer below the neck. Face trimmer blades have square-cut teeth designed to cut against taut cheek skin; groin and underarm skin is loose and folds, which is exactly how nicks happen. The BG1025's rounded blade tips and guard geometry exist specifically to solve that, and it is why a ₹1,500 body groomer is safer than a ₹4,500 face trimmer for this job.
It is also the honest answer to the Manscaped question. The Lawn Mower is a well-designed device, but with no official Indian distribution it arrives as a grey import at ₹9,000-₹15,000, with no local warranty and no realistic path to replacement blades. The BG1025 does the same core job — waterproof, skin-safe, rounded tips, contour-following head — for a fraction of that, backed by the deepest service network in Indian grooming.
Its limits are real. Three lengths make this a hygiene and length-management tool, not a styling device, and it will need a second pass through genuinely dense hair. If you want a closer body finish, the Manscaped 5.0 Ultra's dedicated foil head does that better and the Philips does not have an equivalent. For most buyers, most of the time, that is not what they are actually trying to achieve.

The sensible default for most Indian homes, in two different categories. Philips' AC-series air purifiers combine real HEPA filtration, an honest numeric PM2.5 readout rather than a vague colour ring, and India's best-supported purifier service network at prices well below Dyson. In male grooming Philips is simply the market — OneBlade, the BT/MG trimmer families and the Series 3000-9000 shavers together hold a share no rival approaches, and the reason is unglamorous: spare combs, replacement blades and service centres exist in tier-2 and tier-3 India, which is where most trimmers actually die.
Themes we see consistently in owner feedback for this model. These are illustrative of reported experience rather than a statistical sample — read the current marketplace reviews too, and weight recent ones most heavily.

Comfortable and safe, no cuts at all which was my worry. Needs two passes on my chest. Eight hours to charge is annoying but I only use it every couple of weeks so it is always ready.
