Our verdict
This is a deliberately austere side-by-side and its appeal is narrow but real. Bosch leaves out the through-door water dispenser and the automatic ice maker, which are the two components most likely to leak, clog with hard water or fail out of warranty on a side-by-side. What is left is a very well-built cabinet that draws 302 units a year — around 50 fewer than every other side-by-side here.
The efficiency and the deletions are connected. A plumbed dispenser and an auto ice maker both add thermal load and both punch holes in the insulated envelope. Removing them is worth roughly ₹400 a year and a decent chunk of the long-term failure risk. Whether that is a good trade depends entirely on whether you wanted those features.
Buy it if you specifically do not want a dispenser, keep appliances a long time, and are in a metro with Bosch service. If you do want through-door water and ice, this is the wrong appliance and the Samsung or Haier is the right one.
