LG and Samsung's side-by-side flagships are closely matched and the choice comes down to two features. LG's case is Door-in-Door and 14 extra usable litres; Samsung's is Twin Cooling Plus, convertible modes and a 20-year compressor warranty.
Door-in-Door is more useful in India than its gimmicky name suggests. A shallow compartment behind an outer panel holds water bottles, cold drinks and whatever gets fetched ten times a day, and opening it does not open the main cabinet. In a 43 °C summer, cold-air loss on door opening is the single biggest avoidable load on a refrigerator, and cutting most of those openings down to a shallow panel is a real efficiency gain in daily use — even though the BEE label, measured with the doors shut, does not reflect it.
The omission is convertibility. Samsung lets you shut the freezer column down and reclaim it as fridge space; LG does not. For a household that freezes little, that is 240 L of permanently committed volume, and it is the strongest argument for the Samsung. Take the LG for Door-in-Door, the extra litres and the service network; take the Samsung for flexibility and the longer warranty.
