Our verdict

The Kordfree K10 Lite exists to answer one question: what is the least you can spend on a cordless vacuum without buying something that ends up in a cupboard? At this price, with Eureka Forbes' service behind it, this is our answer.

Set expectations correctly. This is a light-duty daily machine for hard floors and surface dust in a flat. It will not deep-clean a carpet and it is not a substitute for a corded canister or a wet-and-dry drum. As a second machine for quick daily passes — which is exactly how most cordless vacuums are actually used — it is well judged and hard to beat on price.

What we like

  • By some distance the cheapest cordless stick backed by a real technician network
  • Light and genuinely convenient for daily surface dust, which is what cordless machines are for
  • Converts to a handheld for cars and sofas
  • Washable filter, no running cost

What we don't

  • Modest suction — it lifts surface dust well and embedded carpet grit poorly
  • No HEPA filtration
  • 30-minute rated runtime falls materially in the higher power mode
