Bought two, best decision of the winter
Two of these cost less than one European unit and now both bedrooms are covered. Readings drop from 300+ to under 40 in about half an hour with doors closed. Fan is loud on high, fine on auto.

The value benchmark nobody has beaten
Our editorial score
Very good — recommended
First air purifier, second bedrooms, and anyone who wants maximum performance per rupee.
The Xiaomi 4 moves more air than purifiers costing twice as much, shows you a real PM2.5 number, and takes cheap filters. For a first air purifier, or for the second and third rooms once you have decided you want one everywhere, nothing else makes as much sense.
Understand what you are trading away. The build is plastic, it is noticeably louder than a Philips or Levoit at similar output, and the sensor needs a cotton-bud clean every few months or it starts lying to you. Service means taking it somewhere rather than someone coming to you.
None of that changes the recommendation. An air purifier's job is to move air through HEPA media, and this does that better per rupee than anything else sold here. The right strategy for a Delhi or Ghaziabad household on a budget is two of these — one per bedroom — rather than one premium unit in the hall.

Specifications are from manufacturer literature and were checked at the last price-verification date. Brands occasionally revise stage counts, tank sizes and warranty terms without changing the model name — confirm against the current listing before purchasing.
The value king. Xiaomi's Smart Air Purifier line delivers HEPA filtration, high CADR, an OLED display and full app control at roughly half what European brands charge. Filters are cheap and easy to find, which is what actually determines whether a purifier stays in use.
Themes we see consistently in owner feedback for this model. These are illustrative of reported experience rather than a statistical sample — read the current marketplace reviews too, and weight recent ones most heavily.
