Anyone who wants one device for beard, body, nose and a home haircut rather than three separate machines.
The honest test of a multigroom kit is whether you will use at least three of the heads. Buy an 8-in-1 to trim only your beard and you have paid for seven pieces of plastic you will never fit. Use it for beard, nose and ear, and the occasional home haircut, and it is comfortably the best value in this catalogue — you are getting three machines for the price of one and a half.
What separates the MG3730 from the ₹1,500 nine-piece kits that dominate Indian marketplaces is that the blades underneath all those attachments are Philips DuraPower self-sharpening steel. The attachment count is the easy part; a nine-head kit with blades that dull in a year is worse than a three-head kit that stays sharp for four. This is the kit that stays sharp.
The 16-hour charge time is a genuine annoyance and the reason this scores below the BT3211 despite doing more. Charge it the night before you need it and it is a non-issue; grab it unprepared at 8 a.m. and it is useless. If that pattern will bother you, the Multigroom 7000 upgrades to lithium-ion with a one-hour charge, and the extra spend buys back exactly that one problem.

The sensible default for most Indian homes, in two different categories. Philips' AC-series air purifiers combine real HEPA filtration, an honest numeric PM2.5 readout rather than a vague colour ring, and India's best-supported purifier service network at prices well below Dyson. In male grooming Philips is simply the market — OneBlade, the BT/MG trimmer families and the Series 3000-9000 shavers together hold a share no rival approaches, and the reason is unglamorous: spare combs, replacement blades and service centres exist in tier-2 and tier-3 India, which is where most trimmers actually die.

Bought it mainly as a beard trimmer but the nose and ear head is the one I would not give up now. Cut my own hair twice during a lockdown with the 12 mm comb and it was fine. Charge time is silly though.
Everything cuts well and the attachments click on solidly. Sixteen hours to charge is not a typo — I leave it plugged in overnight once a month and it is fine, but do not expect to grab and go.
